Boat Cruise

Cruise along our private stretch of the Zambezi

What to expect

Matetsi Private Game Reserve lies along 9 miles of private Zambezi river frontage, and we offer exclusive river cruises, including the stunning sunrise cruise and the renowned Zambezi river sunset cruise.

You’ll be joined by your personal guide and tracker, who will share the wonders of the Zambezi river with you. If you’d like to try amateur fishing, our team can organise that for you too. A professional fishing guide can be booked on request.

Best time to go

The boat cruise experience is offered year round. The water levels of the Zambezi river do rise and fall annually, and our boat captains adjust the route of the cruise accordingly. They say the best time to fish on the Zambezi is between May and November, but we feel fishing can be enjoyed year round.

What to pack

Your boat cruise will provide an opportunity for interesting bird-viewing and a spectacular sunrise/sunset, so don’t forget your binoculars and camera.

Activities

Sunrise and sunset boat cruises are most popular. You might also like to enjoy lunch on the boat, and/or some amateur fishing on the Zambezi river.
