Charitable Contributions to Communities in Zimbabwe

This year, rather than corporate gifts for our valued travel industry colleagues, we are doing something different. In the spirit of giving, the Matetsi Victoria Falls team are gifting in the form of charitable contributions.

We have identified the Greenline Africa Trust. This incredible organisation works tirelessly to positively impact the rural communities in Northern Matabeleland, with particular efforts on supporting women and children.

Each month the Greenline Africa Trust puts together and distributes Gogo Packs. These Gogo Packs go to grandmothers, “Gogos”, in the villages who look after orphaned and vulnerable children. These ladies have very little themselves, and yet they open their homes to these children in need.

Currently, Greenline Africa Trust supports 20 Gogos and their informal orphanages every month. With continued support, they plan to support 100 Gogo Homes.

So, for each meeting that Hayley Walls and/or Sara Gardiner have with an industry colleague, in addition to building our relationships, and sharing our passion for Matetsi Victoria Falls, we donate an item toward the Gogo Packs.

1 meeting = 1 relationship built + 1 item donated + a sprinkling of Matetsi Magic

Items contributed to date: 284

The Matesti family is proud to support such a wonderful grassroots initiative, and share this with our valued partners in the travel industry.

If you’d like to learn more about Matetsi Victoria Falls’ charitable contributions and/or initiatives such as this one, feel free to contact Sara Gardiner directly.
